A Week of Workouts With KM

I often get asked what a week of workouts looks like for me, so I will share a typical week of workouts for me in this blog post. For me, movement is medicine. It helps keep me grounded, calm, and connected to my body and out of my head. If you have followed me for a while, you know that fitness used to be a form of self-punishment, but now I see movement as self-love.

When creating my workout schedule for the week, there are a couple of different factors that I consider, those being

  1. Where I am in my cycle

  2. How I'm feeling mentally and physically

  3. What my current fitness goals are at that present moment

These factors are essential because where I am in my cycle will drastically change the workouts I am looking to do. For example, when I am in my ovulation phase, I opt for classes on the App that are more cardio-based and require me to exert more energy and effort. Contrasting to when I am in my menstruating phase, I opt for the stretch & release and meditative movement classes. Like I am in my cycle, I consider how I feel mentally and physically when choosing my workouts and always try to pick one that will support my state. Finally, I choose my week of workouts based on my fitness goals and whether I want to improve mobility, increase my strength, tone, arms, etc.

Okay, now that I have brought you into my thought process when choosing workouts, here is what a typical week looks like:

  1. Monday- Walk 12k Steps & Arm Sculpt

  2. Tuesday- Walk 12k Steps & Core Focused Pilates

  3. Wednesday- Walk 12k Steps & Reformer Pilates Class

  4. Thursday- Walk 12k-15k Steps & Posture Correcting Class

  5. Friday- Walk 12k Steps & Reformer Pilates Class

  6. Saturday- Walk 12k-15k Steps

  7. Sunday- Walk 12k Steps & Full Body Sculpt

Walking daily is a non-negotiable and something I prioritize in my week of workouts, and then on a week-to-week basis, I will choose classes that align best with how I am feeling, where I am in my cycle and my current fitness goals.
